Fave Perfume

Carolina Herrera 212 Men

In find this fragrance to be a little unisex. It is very fresh, full of floral and citrus notes. It is said it has sandalwood and musk as base notes, but I don't smell these typically manly scents at all. So I feel this is a unisex fragrance. Though I don't classify this cologne as an aquatic one, I'd say it has the same use, and thus is an alternative, to a pure aquatic cologne, good for summer during the day time when you want to smell fresh in the outdoors under the high heat of summer. This is a middle of the road composition that is versatile enough to wear if you cannot afford having other colognes for different occasions (i.e., night time, dates, etc) in your collection. Great for the younger crowd, not so much for the more mature.

Bvlgari Aqua Marine

This is among the best of aquatic/fresh men's fragrances. Not a surprise since the artist is Jacques Cavallier! I have this, I like it and I reach for it on nice days.

The juice itself is soft, clean, fresh, and easy to wear. It's calming like a vacation on a beach lounge chair with a gentle breeze and maybe an iced tea and you hear the waves and seagulls. It's that nice. Cavallier did a great job giving water a scent! Yes, this really does take you to water! The barely-present cedar and amber don't detract from the aquatic vibe. The soft citrus and delicate floral accord from the neroli makes the water sparkle as if reflecting the sunshine. Very pleasing-- like a do-it-yourself aromatherapy!

If you want one aquatic in your collection, this elegantly imagined take on refreshing water would be my best recommendation. Bvlgari Pour Homme Aqva Marine.
